Howdy, this is actually my blog that was linked to. Thanks for all the "glad they made it out ok"s because we too are glad we made it out ok.

I emailed the guy who owned the van and he said that it had side curtain airbags and it was an '05.

I 2nd the 'thanks for stopping by' and once again glad everyone is ok. If I may rant.... "They don't make 'em like they used to" and I say it's a damn good thing! If that was a 1985 Econoline 150 I can't imagine the passenger compartment having protected the occupants nearly as well. For all the complaining about VSC, complex systems, airbags, seatbelt laws etc it's hard to deny the effectiveness of those systems. Yes, there's the 1 in 500 when one of those systems can contribute to a problem but overall they're awesome. It's a great and exciting time to be alive if you like technology.
