Siewall Damage - Safe or unsafe?

Considering this gouge is on the sidewall, I feel this to be a problem waiting to happen. Your thoughts?

I can barely see that. I've been running my km2's with a way bigger/deeper cut than that for months now and no problem. Looks like you got a little to close to a curb.

That's a tough call. It doesn't appear to be too bad but then how bad would I feel if something terrible happened because you took my opinion as sound advice.

But if it were my tire on my truck I'd wait.

I would ride with that tire on my motorcycle...yeah. Seriously. It's not a big deal unless the tire is visibly deformed.

Until last week I drove since June with a screw through my sidewall. Just out about 5-10 psi every two weeks and your set.

Not the safest thong to do but I'm broke.

Point though being that that gouge is nothing. My dad, who can't park worth crap has hundreds of curb scrapes on his work van tires like. No biggie.

I've seen far worse on many car/trucks. I've also seen a few posts talking about people rolling a vehicle when a tire blows.

If you really want to be safe you could always move it to the spare location

The rubber doesn't hold the tire together, the belts do. If you see frayed belts hanging out, then worry.

Also, if you pinched the tire on an obstacle or curb and you deformed or broke the belt causing a bulge, then be concerned.
