Silver 2000 SR5

Here's my "new" 2000 SR5 4x4 5spd V6. It's got what I believe to be upgrade package #4 (16" wheels and 265 tires, power everything, leather wheel and shift knob but cloth seats, CD, cargo cover, keyless entry with back window remote, etc). It's also got the sunroof. Negatives are it's got 109,000 miles and while it does have 4x4 it does not have the rear locker. After my test drive I mentiioned it was pulling a little to the right, they did an allignment and put on 4 new tires and it drives great now. First few pics were with the old tires, the camping trips were with the new ones (Uniroyal Laredo - I didn't have any say on it).

As you can see it's still bone stock except for the 265/75-16 tires. Had no trouble on some of the sandy trails we encountered and it was able to swallow up all our camping gear with ease.

wait a second so you never had a 4runner before now???

congrats on the purchase, over the next couple of months here im thinking of trading mine in for a newer one like that but id have to get either of the 5 star wheels instead, i cant stand mine(the 3 star ones)

i think on that 4runner your first parts mod should be the 01-02 tail lights

Thanks guys. Yep, this is my first 4Runner - I started this forum as a favor for my buddy Thai back when he had a 4Runner - but then he traded it in for a G Wagon - so I figured one of the admins should actually OWN a 4Runner :D

I actually like the 3 spoke wheels better then the 5 spoke - looks a little weird IMO with only 5 spokes on a 6 lug wheel. The 3 spokes being half of 6 looks good. I noticed that the latest 4th gen SR5s and Limiteds now come standard with 6 spoke wheels whereas the earlier 4th gens they came with 5 spoke wheels and you could only get the 6 spoke on the sport version.

I'll have to search on the forum for that tail light mod - sounds like it might be an easy one.

yea it is, depending on who you buy from, Jason sells them on his site already modded and ready to go or if you buy them offline stock then i believe its just one of the harnesses is different on one of the bulbs.

youll see what im talking about if you take your tails out, which isnt hard at all, 4 screws total and they pop right off.

also what did you drive before the 4runner?

Thanks bronco, I'll have to take a look at the gallery to see what they look like.

My daily driver is still an '06 Mustang GT 'vert and I also own a '70 Cougar 'vert and Mrs. GG drives a V6 Accord. My last SUV was a CR-V and I've also owned an MDX and LX470 over the years.
