Silver 4runners (pics)

Here's a pic of my '16 Silver 4runner Trail...

Who copied who?? :) I'm thinking of doing 5100's at .85 also -- but I'll stick with stock tire size (since I paid for the Cooper Discoverer A/Tw's already).

We need to coordinate at some meet sometime as twins.

You won't regret going with the 5100's at .85" up front. It keeps the perfect rake along with a slightly stiffer ride without as much nose dive on braking, etc! And you definitely have a nice lookin' ride without a doubt! Haha!

Looks great! I think I'm gonna put my 5100s at 1.75 and then try and fit the 34x10.5s. I'll prolly have to do the BMC, etc

Suspension lift does not help when fitting oversized tires. When you sit still, yes, it will help but moving, cutting turning, going over obstacles, etc it makes no difference if it is stock or lifted 3".

I'll dump some silva pics taken over the past few months heah....

Ok. That makes sense too. Thanks for the tip.

Honestly, about 3/4 the reason why I want bigger (diameter) tires is because it gives me an excuse to regear. The other 1/4 is for the looks. I'd like more "leverage" when pulling my trailer. BUT, I don't want to gimp my daily driving. I've only towed about 10-12% of my 90k miles so far. Regearing without larger tires seems too aggressive.

From what I've gleaned and can remember, it seems I'd get about 7% or so more leverage if I got 33s and 4.56 gears. This seems like a good compromise for me and my priorities.

Anyway, all in good time. Thanks again

Not really. If you kept everything stock and re geared you would gain some torque. By lifting and going with a larger tire (losses) you will just about get back to stock torque. Unfortunately you will still lose efficiency by re gearing. So you will be doing it for looks and paying for it at the pump lol. Good luck and have fun.

Have it since an year, put around 50k miles on it in the past 12 mos..

Tried to build this different than my 2010 and my sons 2005. I love my 4runners

Flew to New Mexico to buy my 2016 SR5 4x4. Drive it to Denver for vacation. Road tripped back across the country to FL. Lots of mods waiting to happen as soon as I sell my 1996 bronco.
