Silver Paint Code - trail insert front and back

I believe it is the same silver used on the vehicle... classic silver metallic (1F7).

It's not the same color as the vehicle, it's darker. I tried the 1F7 touch up paint for my classic silver and it's lighter. They're like a darker argent gray and there is no paint code for them , that the dealer or anybody could find. I've posted this question before years ago and again last year and the consensus was no paint code.

They are the same color as the silver 4runner. Silver touch up paint seldom matches because the flake is turned in a different direction.
Look at the silver TE pictures here. The front and rear facia match the silver vehicle perfectly. I looked at one on the lot recently.

This is my 16 trail premium I hope you can tell in the pictures but it's really obvious that the trim pieces are darker than the silver paint around it hence the word accent trim. If it was the same color it would just blend in. I actually tried the silver touch up paint on my rear bumper trim and it was very obvious it was the wrong color a lighter silver. If you guys don't believe me feel free to buy your own incorrect touch up paint and touch up your bumper and you will see for yourself that it does not match.

Thanks everyone. Seems to be the same answer I get from the dealer. No one really knows. They told me the silver 4Runner has like 7 or different paint codes depending on VIN, production, etc. I got the feeling they were just blowing me off, but may be something to it.

I was trying to find the same information online with no luck. I needed to paint some bumper plugs to fill the holes on my front trim. I ended up taking the truck to the auto parts store and asking the guy at the counter if I could take a couple of touch up rattle cans out to my truck to find a match. Guy at the store was more than happy to help out and seemed like it was a common ask from customers. Just simply placed the can lids next to the trim and found one that matched the best. Wasn't a 100% perfect match, but pretty darn close.

I, too, am looking for the answer. I tried several shades but was not successful at finding the right one.

These are the paint colors that I have tried so far. All were too light in color.

Original Factory Color: Classic Silver Metallic 1F7

In the spring I may try something different. Since I have several paint spay cans of varying color shades, I'll take a small cup and spray 2 of the darkest colors that I have and mix them up.

Maybe then I'll get the right shade. Maybe. I might have to try it several times.

Find an automotive paint store. They can match the color and even provide it in a spray can.

I've read part# 00258-001D4 is a close match but I've never tried it.

I tried a specialty paint store and they could match it but it would cost too much.
Not cost effective, not worth it.

I thought that the factory production paint would do but the ones that I tried in my thread above were too light in color.

The mixed together 2 of the darkest ones, which by themselves were too light, and it came out too dark.

I'm about to give up on this search. I went back to the factory 1F7. I think that I'll leave it at that.

I also went down this rabbit hole awhile back. I have a silver 2018 TRD ORP, and the valances are not the same color as the vehicle, classic silver 1F7.
1F7 is lighter but I found for tiny chips in the valance not very noticeable. Someone would probably need a contact at the Japanese factory to get the code, still strange to me this isn't available info.
