Yea initially I was thinking of getting the Diode Dynamics driving lights so they helped long distance.... but I remember being frustrated not having any light off to the sides with the hairpin turns, and most driving lights I’ve had were super pencil beam... looking at the threads on guys installing SS3 fogs it looked awesome how they lit up the sides of the road and made me flip flop thinking maybe they’re bright enough to light up sides of road and also further down road than stock fogs and low beams so would be descent option especially if I got “pro” version that’s supposed to be double output (but some explanations say it doesn’t mean double the light because of some slight differences in the design?).
I’m rarely gonna see snow or rain living in Los Angeles. I may have some Minnesota, Idaho and Colorado road trips in my future though as some law enforcement retreat centers get rocking and I’ll be working at them. But mainly California city driving and desert mountains... and yes Where it’s bad and me leaving late at night little oncoming traffic. So I can high beam for sure.
Hmmm so maybe the 9011s, upgrade low beams to X-tremevision, and perhaps the factory LED fog upgrade since it’s only $120 on amazon and could get here ASAP. This thread is first time I’ve seen the quote buy once cry once, so wondering with the sale at Diode are their sport version SS3 fogs or driving lights, worth the extra ~$70 more than the Toyota LED fog replacements?? And to wait a few weeks?
If I wasn’t living on a fixed medical pension and doing full time volunteer work for first responders and vets, I’d just throw on a bumper with a KC 20” LED bar, upgrade fogs to Toyota, and call it a day as that would have to be enough light for the mountain roads !
