Single suspension clank/pop

I'm trying to diagnose a single suspension clank/pop I'm hearing.

It's eminating from the driver side after letting the car sit overnight. I put it in gear, accelerate and there is a slight metal on metal sound. It usually occurs only once each time I drive the car. It happens when the wheel is straight so its not the steering stops. It's impossible to reproduce after the first occurance.

I have an entirely new front end. Suspension, LCAs, UCAs etc. I've had the suspension for 5k miles with no issues. The noise started a week after getting an alignment.

LCA bolt.

put a wrench on each one, I expect you will find one is loose.

That's what I was thinking. What are the chances alignment is off now? It doesn't drive any differently.

I have the same noise in my 06 4runner. After having it in a couple of times Toyota told me that it was the brake pads "slapping" inside the calipers. Sounded weird to me but they told me it was common on a couple of their vehicles.

Based on where I hear it in the car and the faint resonation in thr floorboard I thinks its an LCA bolt.

That's what I was thinking. What are the chances alignment is off now? It doesn't drive any differently.

it could be. sometimes the bolt is just loose enough to shift slightly, but not loose enough to allow the cam to turn. but it might not be a bad idea to have them check it again.
explain the bolt was loose.

I gave them a pretty good pull when I did the align. I do remember a Tundra one time that did that after I put a lift kit in. The LCA bolts were not loose, however I put an impact on one of the nuts and gave it all it had. Took care of the noise.

I got a 1/2 turn on one nut and a quarter on the other. I'll report back tomorrow after letting it sit. Dan is still the man.
