Sirius question...

I have a 04 4Runner and I upgraded the factory radio to the Scion headunit and I got Sirius satellite for Christmas. Does the Scion unit have a way to input the satellite radio so I don't have to use the FM transmitter thing?

Thanks

The Scion HU I have (the one with the rotary knob in the center - I think its an '06) has an AUX input for things like Sirius and iPods. You can use that, but you'll have to buy a cable that has the correct plug for the HU. I don't know where to get one - I'm guessing the dealer will have one. Maybe someone else hear will know.

Since I have both Sirius and an iPod hooked up (well my wife does, the 4Runner is hers) I went with the PA11-TOY from USA-Spec to change the factory CD changer "port" into 2 AUX inputs. Just had the whole setup installed yesterday and it works like a champ.

If you don't already have a built in AUX port on the SCION unit, you could buy an auxilliary input unit like the PIE. It fools the head unit into thinking you have an external CD changer and uses that as an input. You just need an earphone plug in your Sirius unit.
