Sirius Radio . Who's Got It ?

I am interested in getting one a these , primarily so I can have some tunes in my boat and also use it in the Runner while its not in the boat . Looking at these > Sirius do all need to run through a car stereo ? Or can these be hooked up directly to speakers ? I dont really want to mount a reg deck in the boat if I don't have to . I just want the Sat Radio in to listen to while fishing, coming thru a decent pair of say 5-1/4" speakers . That going to work or do you have to put in the whole car stereo first ?

These are all tuners and need to be amplified to drive speakers. Sirius offers a boom box for that purpose.

I seen the boombox , trouble with that is 1. Once you get a bunch of peeps and fishing gear and coolers in a boat there isnt a lot of room for boomboxes.
2. Weather ! Whatever I get needs to go under the boat dash board to stay out of the rain .

Have to figure out something else I guess.

All you really need is a12V stereo amp and those speakers you mentioned.

No . I was thinking of just getting what the above poster mentioned . A small amp and run it into that . That would work. Thanks
