Site Loading Slowly

Is it just me or has the site been loading ridiculously slowly, and not at all at times? This happens on all my computers, seems to be regardless of browser, regardless of ad blocker on or off, and for my phone it still loads just as slow whether on my internet or cellular data.

Definitely slow on all platforms for me, including the tapatalk app. Not quite sure why, but it's all good. I'd be willing to pay a yearly fee just to get rid of ads. though. I'm tired of seeing the official ballot drop box ad with the older guy in the coat! Lol
 
Unfortunately, it has been this way since I joined. When it's really bad I just walk away and come back at another time.
 
Site wasn’t this slow when i joined in 2021, I noticed it getting slow a bout 2 or 3 months ago & now its so slow i don’t log in as much.
 
I think they are still using a dial up connection on a 386 computer to run this site. All backups are using 3 1/4" floppy drives so it slows it down for a while.
Just wiggle your mouse around in circles so it will load a page a little faster.

You couldn't be more wrong.

It's 5 1/2" floppies.
 
ok, so it's not just me..good to know. When did the site change where the page is split down the middle everywhere with ads? I makes reading any of the threads a real PITA.
 
This is ridiculous..!
Not is this site slower than a dial-up connection but for the last 2 days, I've lost all graphics too. I've never experienced this on any other forum. I can't even upload an image.
Is there something going on with the site? Is is being fixed?

Sad because this site has a lot of useful info. I guess I have to rely on other forums and YouTube until this site is fixed.
 
Could someone suggest an alternate forum for 4Runners? Which other sites are you guys using. This one has become completely useless. :(

I wasn't impressed with the other 4Runner forum I found initially. But if enough people want to I can put a sweet 4Runner forum together using Xenforo forum platform with a few forum creators I work with.
 
This site was never fast, but recently, yeah, it is way slower. Takes several minutes to load or sometimes doesn't load at all.

I end up going to my local 4Runner FB groups instead. Which is a shame. FB groups are great and all, but it doesn't keep community knowledge in a readily searchable and accessible manner the way a forum does.

That's still an improvement on the Commodore 64 this site used originally.
