Skid control rotors necessary?

Are the skid control rotors necessary when changing rear axle bearings if I'm going to disable the ABS anyway?

I disabled the ABS on my 98 and it's one of the best things that I've done to that truck.

I'm ordering all of the parts to replace the bearings in the 99 and I don't want to waste money if they are not needed.

I also disabled the abs on my 98. What a terrible system :ybrick:. The bearings do help to retain oil so yeah you might want to consider it (price prohibiting) Point is, if they are affordable, then yeah, new parts. But i dont think youll regret not changing them, just make sure they are smooth and undamaged. Good luck and let me know how it works for ya, I might do this too

edit: guess i didnt read the post right. Np the skid rotors are pointless if no abs

That's exactly what I'm thinking also. No ABS seems like no skid control rotors (ABS sender) needed but I'm trying to make sure they aren't used as spacers for retention of the bearings and/or seals. I haven't pulled the axles yet so I'm unsure and I'm buying the parts now. :nod:
