Skid plate options?

Must have bonked a rock good recently, just noticed a rattle coming from down under. Pulled the skid plate to see one of the mounting brackets totally mangled now with only three mounting points fastened the fourth corner rattles when in idle. Anyone have any good ideas on aftermarket stuff? Just looking for similar quality and no rattle, not looking to break the bank.

I was in the same boat as you several months ago and did a lot of research. I agree that Bud Built is premium grade, but I wanted to spend a little less. I found Man-A-Fre skids and went with that. It looks great and seems to be pretty darn strong with 3/16" steel. I haven't done any off roading with it since and it hasn't been wacked yet, but I think it will do what is intended.

Check it out at man-a-fre.com

I've got a full set of Man-a-fre skids (engine, transmission and transfer case) and I've gotten a lot of use out of them and I really stand by the product. (4Plus is the manufacturer). I've never seen the budbuilt stuff in person, but my understanding is that the Man-a-fre skids hug closer to the runner allowing more clearance.
