Skids - Painted or Bare?

I am looking to pickup a full set of skids. Leaning toward the RCI ones. I was wondering, do you all think its best to get them bare or black painted? I am not sure how well these wear when overlanding and if the black powder is a waste or a good choice.

Everything I have seen looks better in the matte black powder coat.

Bare. Prime and paint them yourself. If you do any regular wheeling they'll at a minimum get scratched up. And it's easy enough to just rattle can the scrapes.

Mall crawler.. powder coat or just don't even get them.... Actual use... rattle can. Or aluminum and keep them bare....

I agree on bare aluminium. If you actually use them they'll be getting the paint or powder coat scraped off all the time. If you feel you have to go paint, rattle can for sure. Easier to touch up.
