I have the inflatable mattress from walmart 72" with the built in pump and plug it into the back power outlet. Works great.

I have the inflatable mattress from walmart 72" with the built in pump and plug it into the back power outlet. Works great.
On my 98 runner, I used to remove the seat bottom by unscrewing the bolts for sleeping in it. But one time when I screw back the bolts of one seat, I broke it. It cost me $65 for my mechanic to remove the broken bolt and replaced with a bolt and a nut which now I can not easily remove the seat.
For my 2011 TE, I find a good use of the cargo sliding tray to extend my sleeping area. I extend the cargo tray to full extend, then use some foam floor mat (cut to various sized pieces) to fill the gap between the tray and back of the rear seat area. I then ordered custom cut 3 inche foams from online store to cut fit the entire back area. I put the foams into an IKea twin size duvet cover. It makes a very comfortable sleeping bed that fits me and my two sons (11 and 7) with me sleeping head toward rear.
Since rear gate can not close now, I use an SUV tent to cover it.
I used this setting once and we had very good sleep. I am looking forward to our next camping trip.
I will try to take some pictures of the setting of the cargo area this weekend and post it here. Here is the picture of the SUV tent.

Bumping this thread, anyone else know of a perfect fit air mattress for the inside? Looks like Coleman is no longer made and I can't find a similar one.

I've had bad experiences with air mattresses. I use a rock climbing "crash pad" as a mattress and put a few backpacks on top of the folded down rear seats to level everything. We just camped in our's on Saturday night. The only issue was an insane amount of condensation on the windows.
Do you have by any chance a photo of the seat removed?
