Sliders that are "City" rated. . .

Man I hope you have better luck getting her to use them than I do with my woman. She likes to slide in and out on the leatherette bolsters and she's already caught a jean rivet on the bolster and poked a hole in it I had to fix. I say something to her more times than not to use the damn steps, they're there for a reason. Lol, drives me nuts.

oh i hope so. I've already told her im only buying these for her so she needs to use them. My seats already have repaired sports from someone sliding out already. I do NOT want to repair them again.

Thankfully i can just get up and out of the 4runner so its not a problem.

I run demello sliders and they protect my doors very well against most cars you encounter in parking lots (i.e. non lifted). They are tucked up close to the body and don't stick out that much.

This is the only pic I have where you can see how much they stick out in relation to the body.

I guess I noticed someone posted a while back in "what did you do with your 4Runner today" thread about how their sliders stopped a door.

I think you're talking about ME! haha I have the 4xInnovations sliders and they stick out pretty good. Combined with the grey cladding of the '03s I have no door dings. Plus they're $150, can't go wrong.

I wish Demello offered kickouts when I bought mine. Not only are you able to pivot around obstacles it provides a wider step for rear passengers.

Yeah they have really came in handy. On the underside and side you can see where the paint had been scraped off by a rock. It's a cool feeling when you're driving because the truck really does pivot along the kick-out.
