What happened to your 2010 FJ?
J Demello was working on it,looking for local SoCal 4Runner to work with.
Just call or e-mail Metal Tech and Slee to find out . Pretty easy !They are on the net.
I have Shrockworks sliders on order for 6 weeks+ . Jim S. doesn't get in any big hurry.Talked to him last Friday.Strives for quality ,not quantity.

2010 FJ was totalled by a kid with no clue how to drive. He hit me head on.

29k in damages. With so many TE runners around the wife and I thought it a good upgrade. Especially after we both test drove it.

cant decide between silver or grey.

just order las week sliders from shock works can't wait to install them, i went last week in my stock (tires and all) 2010 4runner trail edition, to tierra del sol event, i had just 3 days with my car and it responded great i did scratch front and rear bumpers but i was surprised of its performance i took the difficult rout and just in one place had to bail because would damage body other than that as made it with fine people were surprised that i made it the event people kept telling me to take the easy rout, i did at the beginning but was no challenge,

So if I ended up getting a 4Runner, what are my options to help with step-in? I've looked at the Shrock Works sliders, as my brother has them on his Jeep, but I'm wondering if there is something that has some grip on top to help prevent slipping. I'm thinking more for my wife putting our child in the car seat, more than my clumsiness. :)

i think this is exactly what you might be looking for:

2010 10 TOYOTA 4RUNNER SIDE BAR SIDE STEP RUNNING BOARD : eBay Motors (item 330413328013 end time Mar-22-10 08:59:06 PDT)

Possibly so. I'd like something that looks rugged like the 4Runner but offers more protection than the typical running boards.
Thanks for the link.
