Slight hesitation when accelerating

Hey guys I was curious if anyone else has experienced a slight hesitation sometimes when accelerating from a stop. thanks....

Interesting.. as I know what you mean with a slight hesitation. My wife's '04 Sienna does this and I hated everything about it hesitating. When I got my 07t4r that was one the things I checked for before buying. I hope you get it resolve b/c it's quite annoying to say the least.

It is one of the disadvantages of "fly-by-wire".

Yup, my 04' 350Z did the same thing...welcome to the "emissions control" era. Funny thing is, my Z was a "sports car," that drove like a "sports sedan" because of the drive-by-wire. It doesnt bother me much on the T4R, i mean, how fast do you really expect to accelerate in a 4000lb truck? Man, i wonder how much more different the T4R would run without all the fancy wiring and emissions gear????

Well that is a drag. I love everything about my 4runner except for that. I don't really accelerate that quickly and when I do its to change lanes. Its kind of funny though when you step on the pedal and nothing happens for a second then you really get moving

happened once that i can remember. i'm going up the Driscoll bridge stuck in traffic. i attempted to pull out into a lane that wasn't stopped and the truck bogged for a good 3 seconds before kicking in. i nearly got creamed in the process. that was the one and only time i experienced a hesitation that extreme. scared the crap out of me too!
