Sluggish?

I'm kinda new at this so pleae bare with me.

My 93 4runner (2wd) has been real sluggish lately. I can't accelerate too fast and when I got up a hill it struggles. Also when I'm driving on the freeway I'll get to 50 mpg and it starts to shake and it stutters. I've changed my oils, added tranny fluids to the right level. Steering fluids are ok too.

Any suggestions?

When was your last tune up?

Plugs, wires, cap and rotor...

It's a good place to start.

I assume that the shaking and stuttering is directly related to something going on with the engine.

Have you noticed any black smoke from the exhause. If your fuel mixture is really rich it can cause these symptoms along with some black smoke. If there is no smoke it still may be your fuel mixture.

These problems can start if you need a new oxygen sensor.

How many miles?...my guess would be more to the fuel pump or fuel related problem. fuel filter and good tune up is a great place to start.
