Hello all,

It's been a while since I've been on, seeing how the 'puter was Fubared. Anyways I know a bit about the swap, but has anyone put a 350 in a 2nd gen??? The 95 runner I picked up a while back, I'm just gonna small block it. It's an automatic now, but I'm gonna run a turbo 350 tranny it its place. I know I need to do a 3 inch body lift to fit the small block, and get all my adapting brackets from Advanced Adapters. I want to use all the factory gauges, tach, etc... Anyone with info. would help out alot....

I don't know if I can use my stock transfercase, being the Toyota Automatic... If I can't I wonder if they make a bellhousing adapter to run the stock auto w/transfercase on the chevy 350, the tranny might hold up seeing how the wife would be driving it more than me.

My 4x4 guy told me it wound't hold up when I was think about it. They do make a conversion kit though it's a little pricey (more then a new th350).

ive done this swap myself and ran into a few speed bumps first off the stock radiator is way to small to cool the 350 i had to cut the supports out of a junker to weld in to support the radiator, also the firewall had to be pushed up a little from the bottom to make room for the motor, there is an adapter for the 350 to work with the chevy 700r4 tranny but the output on the tranny had to be machined and shortened for it to fit properly. if there are any other particulars that you would like to know just ask.

The 350/TH350 swap is a bit of work, but if you have the time, $$, and skills it's doable.

Cooling and suspension will have to be beefed to handle it , for starters. Drivelines too.

If you have a stock Toy trans and t-case it won't work, you need a manual case to mate to the TH350.
