I'm about to assemble my DIY smoke machine to test for this evap related P0440 that won't give up the ghost and curious what everyone uses for smoke in a paint can type smoke machine?
I'm just going to run a host from tire pump into can, another line out to hook into evap line under the hood. I was thinking some conical incense, or a cotton ball dipped in mineral oil for the actual smoke since I don't have a heating element in the can.
Thoughts?
PS; Yes, I've replaced the fuel cap with OEM, and visually checked all I can and replaced multiple vacuum hoses under the hood. Truck still runs a little lean with LTFM between 6-10% average. Code throws between 30 miles and 300 miles almost randomly. If I had any hair left it would be pulled out over this stupid evap system LOL
