Has anyone used or had any experience with the paint that smokes out your tailights? If you have used it please post a pic and if you did anything special to your light pre painting.

Look on my build thread, I have a few pictures I think on page 1, and no, just wash with soap and water. If you're in the Seattle area I'll sell ya mine. Full housing with tint. I went back to the stock clear ones.

how much for the lights? if your willing to ship.

PM me. You understand they're just my stock ones with the tint paint, correct? Not those aftermarket tinted lenses.

I took them off and painted them, could have taped it off though I guess, I think I only did 2 or 3 coats.

i used the black shadow kit to do a light tint.

If you don't end up getting the ones mentioned above then make sure you take them off. If you do it right, its going to last and look good. There is some prep work involved, you can youtube it or i have some details in my build thread

i have used both the rustoleum lens tint and the VHT Night Shades! I did my turn signal lights in the rustoleum and my friends tail lights in the VHT! Both look good to me but i like the rustoleum on mine better but it may have been because i put way more coats on!!

Hope this helps!

I would recommend taking the tails off, and using rust oleum to tint. Ive done this several times to family and friends cars and its worked out great, tinted my dads tails on his jag about 4 years ago now and they still look great, granted he babies that thing like no other. I plan to do it to my 4r in the next month or so.
