Smoked Taillight Overlays (4th Gen) from Blue Batmobile - who's interested?

Hi all...for those who are interested in getting smoked taillight overlays from Blue Batmobile for their 4th gen, please post your interest on here. Andrew asked me to start an interest link so he can gauge how many of us are interested. If there is enough interest, he said he can do them. I'll send him this link so he can see it himself. nice site! i'm actually interested in the chrome headlight overlays. i just want it to cover the amber reflectors on our headlights. can he do that? it's just like on the 350z's that he did. if he can do that for me....i'll also consider the smoked taillights after i receive the chrome overlays. thanks for the heads up Ed! and thanks for helping us out Andrew!
 
i would also be interested in some black eyelids that look like the JAOS ones pictured below.

I'm in.....the 3/10 tint for the rear only. If he makes them for the small reflectors on the bottom I am in for those too.

Just tell me when and how much to send

I'm interested, but want to see photos of a prototype before I place an order.. Are you planning tail lights, headlights/foglights or all of the above?

I'd be interested in the black eyelids especially. But maybe also the headlights, taillights, and reflectors.

I don't think he'll do any "one-off" requests. As of now, it only looks like a few people are interested in the taillight overlays and a few are interested in a headlight overlay. I'm not sure if he's willing to do it with only a few people. We'll see. I sent him an e-mail. Let's see if we get more folks that are interested.

I am interested, but curious about the process. It doesn't have any information on there about the process of installing these overlays. Are they internal or external?
 
Just an update. I heard back from Andrew. He would need at least 2 dozen people to commit before he will make the overlays for us. Here is some further info. that he sent me regarding the overlays.

All my Overlays are made from 7 Year High Performance Vinyl. Extremely durable and lasts a long time with no fading or peeling. All Overlays mount to the outside surface. There is no need to remove anything to apply them correctly. Overlays can be removed if desired with no or minimal residue left behind. Application is Peel and Stick! All kits come with instructions.

id like to see it on a 4runner first before making a decision. if he could do at least one, there would probably be more responses.

I agree there would probably be some more responses if there were some sample shots. I know he is probably going to say it would be a waste of time and money, but it takes money to make money.;):
 
Hell....I am ready! I will be the guinea pig! Tell him I will send the money ASAP if he can send me the first kit to display it to everyone. I would take pictures and post them ASAP after that.
 
i would assume he needs to have the lights or the whole truck available to him to make a template. anyone know where this guy is located? I'd also assume he'd need 24 interested people *per* generation 4runner...so it may be a good idea to change the title of this thread to '4th gen'.

Count me in for tail light and headlight overlays. I know it's cheap but what was the price again?
 
All...Andrew is willing to do a set of taillight overlays so we can see them on a 4th gen. He is located in San Diego and would need about 2 hours with the truck. Is there someone local that is willing to be the guinea pig? Border411...thanks for volunteering, but I believe he needs someone local.

I'm not local, but if you absolutely can't find anyone, I might be able to arrange a day trip one of these weekends. Hopefully it can be the last resort though.

Member PioneerMeta4 and SD4RUNNER (whoops, apparently he moved to the OC) are both in San Diego. Maybe you can ask them directly. I just did a quick search for more and it looks like maybe Maverick & 04bkrunner are around there. Maybe a more thorough search can nominate more candidates.
 
Im definatly interested...i think i would like to go as dark as possible (so it would look good with my factory black 4Runner)...how do you guys figure out if you wanted 3/10 or w/e
 
Like I said before....I am definitly in for a 3/10 tint.

Landon_Toast: the 3/10 tint will be like a 30% tint, at least that is how it looks on other vehicles. the 6/10 tint is like 60%, also by going with the pictures. I think that is that the x/x means. Just a little hint, if they are super dark, the cops will take notice. I know I did.
