Greetings!

Living in Texas never once did I think I would see this in my lifetime, but alas it has happened. Here in Fort Worth we received over 12-inches in 24 hours. Of course having owned the 4Runner less than 2 months I had to take it out for a joyride or three. The streets were okay, but the real fun was off the pavement so I took the dogs for a ride and snapped some photos.

Nice pics. Did you take any after you got 12 inches of snow? Those pics appear to be around 4 inches deep, so I was wondering if you took your 4Runner out after the storm had finished.

Actually I took some the night before with around 4 inches on the ground (not measured). The next morning when I got up I took the pics you see and measured when I got home an honest 7 to 8 inches depending where in the yard I stuck my tape measure. I think a lot of the snow had compacted or melted cause the temps were about 33 out during the entire snow "event".

Ah, okay. I just like seeing pics of 4Runners in the deep stuff.

Blizzard 2.0

In my driveway, there was probably 10-12 inches of deeply packed stuff. I almost caused a center lift but did not get stuck- maybe I should consider lifting in the near future!

In NY, parking after a major blizzard is an adventure. My 4Runner had no problem getting into this spot. When I came out to my truck, a pickup parked on my front bumper and my only way out was backing up. 4HI was a little struggle so had to switch to 4LO, which got out without an hiccup.

Dude, your 4R is FILTHY.

Dirty @$#% wait until next weekend I'll post a dirty T4R at the end of suspension break in.
I'm getting ready 2 do a project I've been longing 2 start for a long time. New: suspension, rotors/pads, lines, spacer 2space tires out. first part started.:reddance:

in San Antonio yes it is! it only snowed for like 20 min but we still got some!:lookout: unlike H-ton or Dallas they got like 5-12 inchs of the white powder.

That is more like frost in my neck of the woods! If you want to experience snow, the northeast has PLENTY!!!

When I went to Angelfire last year I did experience snow. that was fun skiing and all. (School trip therefore we had a crapass minivan) anyway as of right now I am glad I'm not in the northeast seeing as the "Snowicane" is taking out trees and power.

Wow, time to break out the snowblower! Or call a plow truck! LOL.

My part of NY just got pounded with about 20" during the last day and a half.

And just for the record---the 4Runner had absolutely no problems. It's a tank. There were so many other vehicles sliding all over the place that it made me more aware of the road conditions. I watched two other SUVs nearly lose it, one right after the other. It made me tap my brakes just to see how slippery the road was as I was driving. I don't know if those guys just had bald tires or something, but I still had good stopping power and the traction was excellent considering the conditions.
