Snapped one of my coil springs!

I went under my truck today because I noticed she was leaning to one side more than usual and I found my passenger side coil spring was snapped right in half!

you can see in the photo that two of the wraps are laying directly ontop of eachother.

I was planning on getting new coils and shocks anyways so this just forces me to get on with it.

I think I'm gonna go with the OME HD coils. Any other thoughts or suggestions for rear coils/shocks?

That's bad when that happens, right?

I have OME springs and shocks on my '85 and my wife's '99, I like them a lot on both trucks. There may be softer springs out there, but softer = more sagging under load and more body roll on and off-road. I love OME.

The don't seem to be rusted out really or anything either. I don't know how I managed to do this. But it is still driveable as the two halves are sitting nicely ontop of eachother. I found a pair of LC coils but I think those are very soft are they not?

Update: I found some LC coils on craigslist here in Vancouver. At least this guy claims they are LC coils.

I thought they came in 7-9 wraps. This looks like its only 6. Or am I counting the wraps wrong??

That looks like 6 to me also, then again I don't really know if I'm counting correctly either. I did google series 80 coils and checked the images. The ones I saw look like they had significantly more wraps on them.

Those are rear LC coils, wrong ones. Just make sure when you find some to ask for the color codes on the springs and then refer to the http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/66976-3rd-gen-4runner-lift-information-faq-s.html to verify.
