Snatch Straps

In Oz we call tow ropes (actually web strapping) that are used to get vehicles out of bogged situations - snatch straps.

They are fairly common items for wheelers. The idea being they stretch somewhat and sort of jerk the bogged vehicle out in a slingshot mode.

Anyhow......I searched here but no matches were found. I tried a few other words but still no luck. What do you guys in the US call them?

I will be shopping for a new one this week and want to ask for the right item but apparently I haven't got the American name for them.

Any brand names to stay away from?

Fiberlink straps

I have 2 of the 2"X30 ft. Fiberlink brand straps that I bought from Offroad Warehouse that I will be bringing to Anza-Borrego.

For connecting the straps to a vehicle I have 2 pear-shaped, 16 mm steel, maillon rapides that are rated for 4400 lbs Safe Working Load:
