I think it looks cool and I definitely applaud your thoroughness, but I'd be concerned about longevity and practicality.

What happens if oil/gas/bird ****/sap/tar/etc sit on it long enough to dry?

I suppose for me it would come down to cost. I'd probably agree to wrap my 4runner If someone offered to do it for free with the guarantee that it would remove in 5 years without taking any paint with it. I know myself, and I'd be totally OCD about wanting to maintain it. I don't want to be 'that guy' walking around his off-road vehicle every few days with a microfiber rag and spray cleaner. I've owned expensive luxury vehicles in the past, and I do not miss all of the detailing associated with them. I'm pretty care free with my 4runner by comparison.

Seriously though I think it looks great and I can't wait to see some higher res photos.

As for protection, I'm pretty sure you can just wipe off anything that gets on the vinyl. I was thinking of doing matte white and matte black hood/roof/tailgate, but ended up not doing it. I didn't do the wrap myself. cvwraps.com hooked it up. It cost me 2800. Not really "hooked up" but I did get a couple quotes and found it around that price anyways. The customer service was pretty good. They picked up the car in the morning and the next day noon they returned the car to me.
