It looked fun the first time. Never again. I don't mind wrenching and spending money on my Runner, but only when making upgrades, Repair sucks.

Well I didn't necessarily mean I go looking for them. I mean, if there is mud in the way of me getting to where I am going to then I will go through it but I don't let it build up. I wash it off the same day normally

I guess flopped, it was over 90 degrees past horizontal but the roof didn't crush.

I was on a side trail I hadn't done before and went over a dip, from the looks of it I went up on this stump to the right and that pushed me over to the left (drivers side).

Used two hi-lifts as winches and a come along. Would pull all three until one got short, then relieve tension on it and reposition and continue. Mounted to the frame near the exhaust and then one on each leg of the right (top) slider.

It took about an hour to get it pulled back over. The damage wasn't as bad as I was expecting, I think all the body panels on the drivers side are dinged up and I think the drivers door got away unscathed and maybe the passenger door. The roof got a dent which blew out the rear drivers side window and cracked the other one. The mirror got destroyed, the front left headlight got dinged up and there is a dent in the hood near it. The right rear bumper panels got bashed down somehow as well, so did both rear fender flares.

Honestly it could of been a LOT worse. There was a tree that the truck leaned up against, otherwise I would of rolled multiple times. I also happened to have cell service where I was, and a guy just happened to be coming down the trail in a UTV right after I went over so he took me down the canyon to wait for my buddies to arrive.

Once we got on a level surface (due to me not having much fuel) she fired right up. The brake fluid tank looks like it spilled a lot, and some oil or coolant leaked too. The oil level was fine, though she was smoking a lot. We replaced the drivers bank of spark plugs (I had a new set I had yet to install) since one of the Jeep guys said that you would need to do that since the plugs would be oiled up (which they were) though I don't think we had to do that but it probably helped. I'll need to gap the new plugs and put in the remainder later on. We think it's smoking so much since it has to burn off all the oil that apparently leaked into the cylinders (since the plugs were covered with oil). The drive back was fine, the computer initially had a constant tone on and the VSC, TRAC, and Parking brake lights on. After about 5 minutes of driving it stopped and the lights went off and it was fine. The suspension seems fine, though I will need to inspect everything. There is a slight alignment/brake wobble which I think is from the left side having all the weight during the roll/recovery and putting it out of wack.

I've always been persistent and meticulous about keeping the truck from rattling and looking good despite taking it offroad so much. It's not gonna have quite the charm of before, until I can replace the panels, but it pulled through and for what happened I think it did well. Will post more in the morning when I can get better pictures.

If anyone knows where I can get cheap cargo windows and body panels, either shipped or in Utah, please let me know!

Chicks dig body damage. Those panels don't look bad at all for what happened. I vote leave them as is and spend the coin to replace them on something else. Glad to hear you're doing okay. Check the classifieds there was a 3rd gen part out in Idaho somewhat close to you.

hate to see this happen but it's a gamble we make. Glad to hear you're in good spirits about the situation and keeping things in perspective, your truck is still chugging along and you are safe. Get back on that trail and make it to the end.

Ha I wish. I don't want to go over about 40mph since the cargo windows are held/sealed with duct tape and I'm still not entirely sure the suspension and everything else is okay. I have some noise kick in when the truck is idling in drive, which might be my exhaust touching something. I also don't have any power steering fluid as far as I know. Brake/Engine/Tranny fluids are all in the green though. Also want to check my alignment before I drive too far.

Yea, I don't think I'll replace all the body panels. Mainly the front fender is bashed pretty good and eventually the rear panel on the drivers side. The roof is also decently dented on the passenger side behind my LED where it leaned against the tree, though I think I can hit out most of the dents and it will look good unless you get up close.

For sure man. That's what sucks about having your wheeling rig as your daily driver, though luckily I don't need to commute anywhere since I live on campus and work remotely. And like you said, at least I didn't get injured at all, and honestly the truck looks a lot better in the daylight considering what happened.

Front left fender/headlight/hood dented

Mirror housing crushed. The mirror itself is fine except for one tab broken, it sits and the motors still drive it fine. It probably saved the drivers door from any injury.

Drivers side passenger door

Rear drivers fender flares broke off. Have the fenders and they are pretty good. Will have to redrill and rivet/bolt them back on. That alone should make it look a lot better.

Rear drivers body panel

Drivers cargo window is gone. You can see the passenger cargo window is shattered but still together.

Passengers rear bumper. The bracket that bolts into the wheel well got almost completely sheared off, it looks like a branch was pressing on it when it was on it's side. Most of the welds also sheared where the bumper panels weld to the main 2x4 section in the rear. Rear fender flare also fell off.

The worst part is losing all my stickers. I'll probably email all the companies with pictures of the truck and see if they'll send me new stickers.

Drivers side lower link has a slight bend in it.

And I think this was brake fluid, but I still have plenty in the reservoir. Also lost some power steering fluid so will need to refill that.

Did some work on the truck today. Tomorrow I will get both cargo windows replaced. I think I will email all the companies that sent me stickers that I lost about my sad story with lots of pictures and see if I can get new stickers :hello:

I also saw an ad pop up online for a sub/amp. I have been looking around for a little bit since my buddy has a sub in his Jeep and it sounds awesome. So I drove for an hour to go check it out:

$100 for it. Boss 2100W peak, 1000W RMS sub with corresponding amp and box. No wiring, so I will have to figure that out though the Jeep guy should be able to help with most/all of it.

I was tentative to buy a sub since I always have my cargo area packed with gear, but I think I can fit the sub between the rear seats and my cargo box. I'll just have to relocate my 5 gallon water tank somewhere...

Got my cargo windows installed today at SafeLite:

I was going to shop around, but my parents said they'd pay for it and I didn't like the chance of water seeping in, or blowing out the barely held together window, or buffeting when driving fast, people able to easily steal my gear, etc. so I said what the hell.

$560 for both windows. They don't have the integrated antenna, which is fine since I didn't have it hooked up to my head unit anyways.

Today I also (re)installed my fender flares in the back. I bought a drill motor from harbor freight and then some bolts/fasteners. The previous plastic holes in the flares were all torn out so I just redrilled in spots that were fine.

I will get full truck pictures later on, but cosmetically between the windows being replaced and the fenders installed, the truck looks a LOT better. Unless you are fairly close, I don't think anyone will notice it has any dings, let alone that it rolled. The biggest banged up area is the drivers blinker, which my buddy and I pounded a bit to get to sit properly (it was pushed out and up before). The only other thing I can really do externally is the passenger bumpers wheel well bracket got the weld sheared a bit so it's hanging down an inch or so. I think my buddy might be able to throw a tack/weld onto it during his welding class later this week.

Now I'm gonna email all the companies who I had stickers from and attach a bunch of photos and ask if I can get new stickers

If anyone has K&N, Toytec, B&M Racing, OTTRATTW, Eibach, Bilstein, or ARB I'll gladly accept them The biggest loss during the roll were my stickers...

So today while my buddy and I were waiting for his axle to get done (which it turned out it wasn't), we got a call from another guy we know saying someone was stuck on Mt. Logan and needed a recovery. So we raced back to campus and met up with the other guy (drives the Grand Cherokee) and went up the mountain.

It was a little muddy with a lot of puddles at the bottom, near the top it was snowing and at the top there was about 3" of snow and blowing like a blizzard.

There are two of these giant lifted Tahoe's on campus. They are really just for show and don't have a very nice suspension from the sounds of it, not to mention sit too high and large to be very good offroad. They run 37" tires but are stock geared (though have a 5.3L V8) and open diffs.

The other Tahoe has a little more stuff, like a spare on the roof and a hi-lift on the roof. Of course, sitting 8 feet up in the air I'm sure it's not easy to get down the hi-lift let alone a giant 37" tire.

His upper ball joint exploded and his CV got destroyed. He was just driving along and suddenly it went out from the sounds of it.

The guys said they will grab the other jacked up Tahoe (the drivers brother owns it) and take it's components up to fix it and get it down. We obviously left it up there... not like we could tow it, and even if we could it was pretty sketchy up there.

Since we didn't know if we could make it down some sections, or even exactly where the guys were, we had the Grand wait behind on the top of the main saddle and then my buddy and I took the Runner down the saddle looking for the other guys. This way if we got stuck the Grand had the high ground since we didn't know if we would be able to get back up. We had CBs of course so were in constant contact. Once we found the Tahoe, we grabbed the two guys and then headed back. The 4Runner was fine, though the Grand got stuck turning around (I didn't get stuck turning around at the Tahoe, or after I drove past the Cherokee, or at the Cherokee when I recovered it ).

This is right after we pulled the Grand out, and is a really cool night shot I think. The snow had stopped for a second and it was just eerie fog.

Talk about a lot of stuff going down since we got the offroading club going! First the axle on the Cherokee breaks off and [MENTION=89531]Cartzo[/MENTION] tire blows out, then a week later I roll the Runner, then a week later these guys have their tire rip off. It's pretty exciting, and recoveries are awesome! The 4Runner is doing well for what it's designated job is/will be

Well shit man!!! I didn't even know what happened. There are no pictures of it on here.... So... Post some maybe???? And when you come down I have a mess of stickers youc. An rifle through if you want. I have a weird sticker collection going on lol
