Snorkle compatible with carwash?

So, I have an ARB ARMAX snorkel on my 3rd gen and I can't seem to find a touchless carwash near my house. Does anyone have this snorkel and use a regular car wash or is it going to tear my snorkel off?

Not every car wash is made the same with how the automated spinning brushes come in contact with the vehicle. I don't think anyone could give you a definitive answer that your snorkel isn't going to be ripped off your rig. They are usually riveted to the A-pillar with three rivets. If it were me, I wouldn't risk it. Do it yourself at home with a bucket and sponge or go to a coin-op car wash with the pressure wand and brush.

Yeah, no. Don't do any brushed car wash if you have a snorkel. Heck, I'd be worried about a touchless wash getting excessive water into the airbox.

you are in Texas washing in the winter shouldn't be a problem. Ii sucks in the winter cause everyone seems to want to wash their cars at the coin wash at the same instant.

I hate long lines. I prefer to wash my vehicles in the driveway but that's not possible in freezing temps when you have to rinse off mag chloride and salt off of your trucks. You may have more time but for me there is never enough. There have been instances where I have had to leave the line after waiting for a good 30 minutes because the wife, kids and frankly I also get restless.

That was sort of what I was thinking too, but the consensus seems to be not to risk it. I have a pressure washer it just takes 45 minutes to wash it by hand vs 5 to run through the car wash.

Lol, I get it, pain in the butt, grew up in the midwest left long ago. Being the oldest I got the winter carwash duties for a bit. Love the snow love to visit n go home.

I'd be concerned about excessive water from the automated car wash putting too much water in the snorkel and your air box.

At least when you do it yourself, you can aim the hose away from the snorkel directly

I fluid film the hell out of my frame and don’t wash it all year. Those drive through car washes are no good for me since they spray under the car. $6 at the self serve car wash is plenty to clean the body and wheels.

In WA we have The Pink Elephant and I go threw the Touchless Full Service Car Wash. The water shoots straight down and doesn’t go in the head part of the snorkel. Been going for a year now.
