Yessir! I can't recall the dates, but Alex and I were jabbering about it on our gazzilion hour drive back from Phoenix yesterday. We want to do some Mojave Road then roll into DV. More dirt more better. He's thinking 6 rigs for size and speed. But a big part of this trip is the length 6 + days in the dirt, so we'll probably have people join and leave willy nilly depending on schedules.

Has any 4th genners done this to their rigs yet? I finally did my first oil change and while I was at it changed my front/ rear diff, and transfer case gear oils. With 133k on the clock I was kinda wanting to do a transmission fluid exchange.

I did this with the 3rd gen but I think it's the same process. I disconnected the trans cooling line going back to the transmission and in to a pan. This is where the oil will come out and be visible when the old oil turn to red oil. I poured trans fluid in the trans dipstick tube while it's running and let the trans pump do the work. I had Cai tell me when the red trans oil is visible out of the trans line so I can shut the car off. I reconnected the inlet trans line back and recheck the fluid. I added a trans cooler so I had to put a little more oil. I used 4-5 gallons of Valvoline max. But prior to this process, I dropped the trans pan, cleaned it and cleaned the magnets. It was hella dirty but the rest looked clean such as the trans filter and surrounding area. I then filled it with the new trans oil and did the process above. Hope that helps.

Cool sounds easy enough, I'm going to add it to the "to do" list along with upgrading to 5th gen brakes all around. My rotors are warped, it shakes when I brake at freeway speeds :tsk:

Upgrading to the 5th gen is a good idea. I should have done the same but I was a young inexperienced wheeler with little info. Unstead I got all centric calipers, rotors and brakes. Good thus far!

Saturday I'm busy but I could probably / possibly do a run on this Sunday? If you guys have a trail or an area you've want to do just let me know if not ..we could go to Meccacopia, Joshua tree, big bears rattlesnake canyon or Clarks grade and a couple others...or Idylwild trails. Etc etc ...

And as for the weekend of the 17th I'm sure I could do both days.

But also the 17th I have no problem with anyone wanting to come along and enjoy some trail time ...I guess I could just post it as our monthly meet I don't think [MENTION=123332]Drunner97[/MENTION] wanted some alone time with me..hahaha
