So Cal 4Runner BS Thread

If you're thinking about getting a fridge I would go with the indel B. I bought mine from truckfridge TruckFridge.com - Quality true 12 volt DC compressor refrigeration with freezer - Georgetown, KY Exit 129 next to Piolt Truck Center - many models to choose from.. Cheaper and has the Danfoss compressor, same as in the ARB. They had a sale and free shipping. I got a great deal with both fridge and slider discount & free shipping. I would call them and see if they have the same deal.

Damnit! I just bought a bumper and a ladder. Now you have me looking at this! I have bought two coolers in the last year and a bunch of ice packs. Nothing sucks like luke warm beer on the third night of camping though. I already told my wife she bought me a ladder for xmas. My Birthday is soon.....

Haha! I feel like that everytime I click on this damn forum! I get spending anxiety, thinking what am I gonna find and spend money on? But nothing like a fridge. I will never go back to coolers. It is the best money I spent! Do it! Do it!

Now that I figured out the fridge needs to be wired directly to the battery to work properly, I couldn't be happier. I will never go back to ice again, especially after watching Greg and Miah drop water every single day and my beer was already ice cold without the hassle, haha.

I'm pretty damned close to not spending anymore money on the rig. I'm getting down to the big ticket items. Roof rack, front/rear bumpers, winch. Not too many more accessories that I really need/want. I'll have a hard mounted 25/60 watt HAM shortly, but I paid for that a couple months ago. Basically got the HAM, the rear amber floods, and some ditch light brackets (which won't work so I'm selling them back to the Tacoma crowd) for around 100 bucks. Haven't been able to hook up with my buddy down in San Diego for the radio but I'll see him next weekend. If I had thought about it, I would have had you grab it before coming up to DV, haha. Once I get my 33s, bumpers, and roof rack, I'll be pretty much done. Probably be awhile for the bumpers though. Roof Rack and 33s at tax time.

I'm with you on that Drunner. I'm pretty close as well to being complete. Front, rear bumper and winch will be much later. I have the roof racks, fridge, rear cargo, dual batteries, and soon the hot shower system. The rest can wait til I pay off the current mods. Let me know when ur in my neck of the woods so we can set up wheelin day.

Tacoma World meetup at Belching Beaver in Vista on the 17th, so I'll be hanging out there for a couple hours but probably won't be wheeling.

is that the new place in downtown? i've been to their brewhouse off sycamore and everything was pretty good. mother earth is real close to that BB on main street, and the pizza place across the street is pretty bomb. they'll walk it over to you, too!

Dunno, I haven't been yet. Hell, I haven't even been in Vista for probably over 10 years since my buddy used to live there. There's always brewery meets on TW, haha. Show up, check out trucks, go drink. There's a group of us that hit the Brewery Terreux in Anaheim over by Fry's/Camelot pretty weekly.

mmm... bruery.

there's a new spot in costa mesa called gunwhale, opened a couple weeks ago i guess. had some at an event the other night and their pale ale was real good, the saison needs some work... probably be there friday night regardless.

t4r meetup??

My buddy just was telling me about this brewery. So many opening up lately. I liked Mother Earth and then Wavelength isn't too far either. Belching Beaver was suppar or maybe too hyped when I went.

Opps you're right I had it backwards from my first statement, the higher the duty cycle % the better. Basically the higher the duty % the longer you can run the compressor before it needs to cool down. My 400c compressor is also pretty hot after I fill all 4 of my tires from 20lbs to 35lbs.

we went to the BB brwery off sycamore last year some time and i wasn't impressed either. if you're driving to vista you should go to booze bros! one of the best in town. then hop over to latitude 33 and iron fist. fuuuck i need a beer tour soon.

if anyone's around and is reading this RIGHT NOW i am heading to yard house in triangle square for their 20th anniversary green flash / alpine triple IPA release.

She's in better spirits today but it'll take a while.
grave I'm always down for a beer, but not today so count me in on the next one.

grave. Was just at Gunwhale last night for my liquid dinner, they've got a couple new ones since last week and an oyster stout planned for next week!

This thread really lives up to its title.

Got some good beer in HB, too, Riip and 4 Sons being my favorite. The establishments are nothing fancy but they got some great brews.
