Mine has come on at about midway through the last quarter tank.

Oh and I'm at 250 miles so far, with a quarter tank left running Costco gas.

Thats where mine was at when it shut on me. I also run costco gas. Im gonna run shell gas and see what happens next. Gonna change the fuel filter and will see about injector service.

Are you using this on a 4runner?

Instead of letting your truck run out of gas, why not just buy a gauge - I bought the Ultra Gauge for $68 and once calibrated it gives me a dead on balls accurate reading of distance til empty. I can go nearly 400 miles before I'm bone dry - about 390 actually.

Im reading the ultra gauge owners manual and as wondering if the unit automatically found the 4runner protocol, how many gauges will it support and if the ultra gauge sensed a tank sensor or if you had to manually set it up.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that when I ran out of fuel, the gas gauge was between the last quarter tank. Didnt even touch the E or the last line. Where does it usually stand when you guys fill at 15 gallons or when the light turns on?

When my guage was semi accurate I would get between 260-280 miles before the light would come on. I also ran out the other day but that was at 320 miles, while reading a 1/4 of a tank. Since then My gauge has been reading worse by the day. (Reading 1/2 a tank with 240 miles) :lol: I wish...

You should easily get more than 250 to a tank.
