I am okay other than a headache and a sore foot but, I havent had a chance to really check it out cause the towing company who picked it up yesterday is closed til monday so no pictures yet but i'll get some forshure.
I really dont remember what happened but I remember taking a wide sweeping right turn doing about 40mph and I felt the back end break loose and I tried correcting by steering left but it didnt help, I hit a telephone pole on the drivers side right behind the front tire :roadkill:
the emt in the ambulance said i hit my head on the windshield (no seatbelt) and that the A pillar had snapped in half haha so if anyone is in need of parts it was a 1997 sr5 that ran good but i hope i can find another 4runner for a good deal since i didnt have full coverage but we'll see

Why didn't you wear a seatbelt? Glad you're ok man these things can always go alot worse

i was going to my grandmothers house a drive i do 3-4 a week for the past year from the place i am living at now, i always put it on when im going on the highway but i really tend to never think about it when im running arround town, that definitively has changed since this accident

yeah i live in philadelphia, the road was wet/oily and no front swaybar hooked up, i was in the middle of doing the poly bushings, and never got back to putting it all together, i had been driving it for about a month without it, i cant blame it on that tho, my tires had decent tread left but were about 6 or 7 years old probably dri-rotted a little, and the road conditions/ i wasnt speeding but its a common accident the emt said he has seen it a couple times

what color interior? i need the in dash cup holder, and possibly the rear cup holder. roof rack end caps. um yeah ill also PM you

And we have a winner!!

In second place is gannonrt. Do you have the metal piece that is used to hold the battery down. It goes over the top of the battery..

More seriously, glad you're ok. You should buy a lotto ticket tonight if you're lucky enough to hit a telephone pole at speed, crack a windshield with your head and just have a headache from it......

I totaled my first one due to being in a bad situation and being a very inexperienced driver but I hit a bank, rolled it, and couldve driven it home. But the towing companies and the police have a thing so they wouldnt let me . Thank god I was wearing my seat belt, it not only saved my life but allowed me to stay secure in my steel cage therefore I walked away. Hate to hear you wrecked, but glad youre okay!

the 4runner is white with tan intierior, i have gotten some offers as far as parts, if i get some more people interested in the major parts that have some miles but are useable id be willing to strip most of it and scrap what isnt useable. any offers? again im in philadelphia

I grew up in a generation where Seatbelts were becoming a mandatory law. Thirty Years later, I still see people driving with no seatbelts! I honestly don't understand how anyone can drive without one on.... I personally feel naked until I put it on.

I truly hope this accident taught you a little lesson.... life is short my friend, and we all a lot to live for. I'm glad you made it out without any serious injuries, because hitting the windshield with your head, could have led to a skull fracture! You could have easily been tossed out of the truck.... and broken every bone in your body..... or worse yet... died. :(

I'm happy your still with us! :)

I agree. And what I don't understand even more is why dumbass people don't belt their kids in. I see it alot. Just last week I was pumpin gas and a minivan with two ladies pulled up next to me and started gassin up. I noticed the women in the passenger seat was holding a nearly newborn kid. I told the driver they should be ashamed of themselves for not strappin that kid in. She laughed, honest, and said if the kid's strapped in, it cries and cries. I say better to hear it cryin than to be burying it.

Glad you're ok dude, but fasten that belt next time!!

wreck

Glad you are ok, as others have said it could have been a lot worse. I grew up driving pretty modified smaller cars for autocrossing. Learned very young seat belts are pretty minimalist (first car had a 4 point harness, rollbar, and paddy hopkirk racing seats).
Cars are cheap to replace, body parts (yours) not so much.:happens:

welp like i said im my first post, im interested in the in-dash cup holder, and roof rack end caps. let me know thanks -the other stuff being as though i have the blue interior not so much interested in
