I thought she was kidding but she actually test drove one the other day. Is this a good truck for a chick? Still seem to be a bit high on the price

Is it a good truck? Yes, it is. It is an excellent choice because it has great crash testing scores, does relatively well on gas, and is pretty comfortable for a truck-based SUV. The ONLY negative safety aspect is that, even in 2009, the FJ does not come with active headrest (neither does 4runner).
The other thing is that it has poor visibility...so, make sure that your GF has thoroughly testdriven it. I think that it comes with a backup camera now (in one of the option packages)...so, make sure that you get it along with the backup sonars. If you guys plan on getting married and having kids, then you may want to re-consider since its door configuration (and thus rear seat access) is not ideal.
Otherwise, go for it...it is an excellent choice...but, you MUST buy 2009 FJ.

i read that article and i got to say....Toyota, wtf are you doing? where is the quality? i still cant believe that stuff like this is happening?
