So you have an 00-02 Limited and the butt is sagging?

Had a very enterprising Saturday lifting my friend's 01 Limited.

She selected Old Man Emu 906 springs to replace her rear coil springs. Thanks Toytec and Dylan for the most excellent assistance and selection.

The 906 OME springs are a great choice for you 00-02 4Runner guys. The spring height is almost exactly identical to the springs you remove. The difference is the diameter of the spring wrap. Note: OMEmu designates one spring as "A" and one as "B" the A one is just slightly taller and is for the drivers side.

Here is a comparison photo of old versus new springs. The wider end at bottom of the picture is actually the top of the spring. The narrower pictured top is what rests on the axle perch.

That white beauty out on the street is my 99. No it is not for sale ....

Next picture shows the work underway. Note: disconnecting the rear shock's bottom bolt is absolutely a must to enabling enough room to remove the old spring and replace with the new one. No spring compression was needed for removal of the old ones or for new spring install.

Thanks Dylan and Shawn St Cyr for the install tip!

Actual lift gained was a full 2" . Pre lift ground to fender flare was 34" -the owner reported she had just enough room to stand atop the tire to reach her ski rack. Now at 36" post life she has plenty of room to reach the roof attachments.

If anyone needs help performing a very simple fix to your rear butt sag I am glad to help! Shocks were not changed out and the vehicle ride remains excellent with the 906 springs out back.

The 01 Limited we lifted is running 265/75/16 Pathfinder tires.

The new springs provided lift and enhanced load carrying capacity.
