SoCal 2019 Snow Alerts & Trail Pics (post em up)

Going to hit up rim of the world for some snow play and come back down the mountain to do tubing off of 38 than home.
 
Theres no more snow going to fall only rain from here on out
And whats left is turning to slush and disappearing quickly

Noone really goes there and sees a good amount of snow. Its on the other side of the highway from jenks lake. It was 2 deep 2 stop and take pics but made it thru

Can you take this all the way up to Angelus Oaks? Currently? I drive past this often and always thought about taking a detour. Usually in the summer though. I am going up to Snow Summit for snowboarding on Saturday. Maybe I'll take some time to check out some side trails off the 38 if I have time.
 
Instead of asking for snow pics I should have asked for pics of all the traffic from people driving up to big Bear to either just see the snow or to hit the ski slopes. I bet it was crazy busy.
 
sub'd. Might be heading up the mountain Monday so I'll be curious to see any weekend snow reports. Would like to get some wheeling in if there's anything left on the ground after all the rain.

yeah my plans may have shifted. Possibly camping in Joshua Tree
 
We headed up to Mammoth for the long weekend. Crowds weren't too bad, but we stayed away from the tourist spots (went sledding at more of a local spot than an established ski hill*). They had one heck of a blizzard last week, followed by another 6-10 inches (not sure, exactly) Sunday night.

* start off not in the best of shape, drive from sea level to 8300 feet, climb up a very steep hill while you sink into snow up to your knees at every step... and don't die of a heart attack!!! I could have used a ski lift!!!

I'd attach some photos, but all my attachment uploads are failing?!?

I was there the weekend prior, wish I had gone for the holiday weekend just because of the amount of new snow that fell, but was blacked out and wanted to avoid the crowds. I love it up there. Going again late February probably.

Apparently you have to resize photos yourself to upload... which is really stupid in 2019 when there are server plugins that will resize uploads on the fly...

Right on! Did you let your runner rip up any of that snow too?!

Sadly, no... it was a pretty family-focused trip and the roads we saw had just two options: clean & plowed or under feet of snow... which wouldn't really have worked for my 4Runner!

Dang. I really just want to find a field of snow and let the runner loose haha
