SoCal Meet and Greet

Ok so the day didn't go as planned. Didn't get to check on the gates today try tomorrow. They have always been pretty good at keeping the web site up to date so I'll cross my fingers.

I'll try to make Cars and Coffee in Carlsbad if possible. Finally checked in here on time for once!

I was down at Cars and Coffee from about 7:30am to 8:15am or so but had to come back for work. Just noticed right now that you clearly said 8am to 9am in your post, sorry man, missed that....

I saw a green third gen with a yellow lab in back when I pulled up, but the guy came out of Starbucks, jumped in it and took off so I assumed it wasn't you. I was parked right next to him loitering and talking to his dog, he must have thought I was a some crazy weird o, ha ha ha.

Definitely some cool cars down there to check out, wish I could have stuck around a bit longer. I'm out of the area next Saturday but I'll plan to go back on Nov. 2nd in case that works for anybody else.

Didn't bring a yellow lab haha. I was there from 8:15 to 9.

An incident occurred after you left, right about 9:00.

A Mercedes C250 randomly jumped a curb of a parking space, and hit two people in front of that Starbucks, a little boy and an elderly women. Either the guy thought he was in reverse but he was in drive and he gave it gas, or it unintendely accelerated. The little boy seems to have a minor concussion only. The elderly lady has at least one broken leg and was taken away on a stretcher. I was talking to a guy about my 4Runner when I heard tire squealing and looked over only to see an elderly lady a couple feet in the air...

Yikes! Scary. Glad you weren't in the pathway and that everyone will be OK.
