SoCal meet or Offroading?

Hey guys, can a completey stock 07 4wd runner make it on the trails you ride on? I've only had my runner for a month and never off road before in my life.

Thanks,
s-one

You will be amazed what a stock 4wd can do, you will be fine

You should definitely join in!

Hey! Finally a Socal meet getting together!

Unfortunately, I'll be right next to Azuza Canyon on the weekend of July 12-13th.. but not off-roading! :D

You guys have fun. I look forward to joining you guys next time.

It sounds good but I'm not free either for July 12 - 13. I'll keep looking out for the SoCal meets though so keep posting them!

Thanks,
s-one

Josh, I like being represented in the sig! haha

Haha, good. Any luck deciding on the tint?

If we can't get a decent sized group together for this trip, I say we just go up, us two again.

By the way, I forgot to mention. When Lisa and I rode with you guys on those couple trails, your 2/1 is less stiff than my 3/2. just a heads up to help with that decision. On road there's virtually no difference, but I never compared them offroad until Tuesday.

Hello So Cal neighbors...

I am interested in some local wheeling with T4R owners and I noticed your thread. I was wondering if you had any additional plans yet? What trails in particular are you planning on covering? It looks like you are planning on camping for a night... where and is there a need for reservations or is it an open camping area. what gear, (camping, recovery, emergency) is already covered on your end so I know what I need to be sure to contribute?

I ask because I'm obviously interested in joining and I was hoping for me info. I'm not sure if the schedule will work yet, but I'm hoping it might. Let me know.

I am thinking of doing the 5% all around at the local place but I will talk to them and make sure their tint wont make my windows green. If not, I will definitely come down and use your guy.

As for the 3/2, I am really tempted but am trying to cool myself on the idea of spending more money on my car just yet.

I am going to try to talk to my friend in the next few days about the exhaust he ran on his Tundra and get back to you.

Hey man, good to see some more SoCal guys showing some interest.

Josh and I are still trying to iron out the details, but it is shaping up to be a day trip instead of a overnight thing. There has been talk of Gorman, but we are still unsure about where we are going- hopefully we will figure out for sure sometime soon.

As for gear I have recovery gear (although there is no such thing as too much recovery gear), both Josh and I carry tools with us and emergency gear is pretty minimal (I have a first aid kit and I am not too sure about Josh) but if we are in Gorman we should be fine since there are rangers around.

Hopefully this covered your questions and if there is anything else just let us know. We will put up more details as we figure them out.

Yeah, plus I am going to 4wheel parts tomorrow to get things so we have more recovery gear, so we have that covered.

Make sure they have it ahead of time, I went in there to get shackles one time and the only way I could get them was special order them

Hey guys, I was originally going to go for sure, but things came up. My wife and I are shopping for a new house and my weekends are definitely going to be packed. I really wanted to join in the fun, but I guess I'll have to wait for the next off road trip. Have fun!

All sounds good. I'd like to join in, so when you have the date and destination, let me know. I'll try to make it.

FYI - cruised Cleavland National Forest today. Main Divide North and Indian Truck Trail. Nice short trip, but I wish the Maple Springs Road and peaks were open. I hear it could be another year before they reopen the section burned in the fires.

On another note, there are several areas I wheeled today where the trail could use some trash clean up. I think my next trip there will include trash bags and I'll make a trail beautification day out of it. Sad how some people treat the wilderness. ''
