After a whole lot of consideration, I've decided to sell my 4Runner. Up to November of last year I planned on driving this thing as long as it would go. Then the motor went and I bought a 19' TRD Tacoma in a pinch. The truck sat in my driveway for 4 months then the China virus hit and I decided to take up the task of getting it on the road again. I came upon a motor on craiglist literally right around the corner from me. Came out of a 97 4Runner with 120K. I bought it and had it fixed up in a month. That was the end of April. I put insurance on it and waited, and waited, and waited for stupid NJDMVC to open. They finally did in the about 3 weeks ago. I've been driving it ever since. I have to admit, I thought about keeping it. But since I had the Tacoma, I've actually had 2 situations where the pickup came in extremely handy. Plus 100 more HP doesn't hurt either.
Anyways, this is a great truck. I'd say it's ready to go for the long haul. Nothing wrong. Everything works. The only 2 flaws I can think of are a slight PS fluid leak from the rack and pinion and a very small dent below the rear license plate surround from the PO. I have MANY receipts and a CARFAX. AND YES THE FRAME IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I even have internal borescope photos of the areas that see the most rust. I have the truck on craiglist and cargurus now which has numerous photos of the frame. I understand that's a concern for these trucks but this one is clean. Here's the listings
