Solved leaky roof

For the past year or so I have been trying to track down the source of moisture in the rear of my 99 T4R. I had noticed that after a heavy rain the floor of the rear passenger seat was wet. There was no sign of moisture on the roof or seats, but it looked like the water was coming down the rear pillar (where seatbelt attaches) and running down the carpet.

I cleaned out the sunroof drains w/ weed whacker string, ensured all door seals were good. Still no luck. Was definitely sure it came from above as wetness would occur when truck was parked (not splashing up from the floor). After being stumped I remembered that I ran across a thread (can't find it at the moment) where someone else had identified a similar problem involving the roof rack.

I removed the roof rack (factory stock) on both sides, pumped a blob of silicone sealant into the holes, then reinstalled everything. And now 3 weeks later after several bad rain spells my carpets are dry as a bone. So for those who may be trying to track down the source of leakage, consider sealing off the roof rack holes. It solved my problem.

Thanks
