Don't know if I did this quote function correctly, but I don't thinks we wired the rms incorrectly. We soldered everything to spec, then plugged the harness in. The stock stereo would detract the antenna if you inserted a CD. I still haven't tried this with my new HU, but it doesn't do it when listening to muzak on the USB port. I still have some experimenting to do, but I'm willing to bet bet the new HU won't do it when reading the thumb drive. Any advice? I have time (and beer) to install an in-line toggle switch (and those empty slots by the E-lock button) to put stuff in. My desire is to go wheelin' and not have my muzak skip or have the antenna ripped off -

Do you have an amp installed at all? I had a similar issue on my buddys legacy (older with retractable antenna) the amp for the sub would come on only when the radio was on, and the antenna would be up until you turned the car off. we dug into it and had accidentally switched the rms out (turn on lead for an amp) and the antenna lead. It was a pretty simple find since we had two things that weren't working the way they were supposed to. so i would recommend double checking the wire you hooked the antenna lead to.

FWIW, if you want professional advice, go to a professional car stereo shop. If you want low low prices, go to best buy (or the internet) Don't go to best buy for advice. don't forget that its poor form to get the advice from the pro shop and then buy the stuff on the net.
