Specs:
Tundra 199 Calipers
OEM Rotors/Pads with a TON of surface left. Nowhere near needing replacement.
So for awhile now my brakes have been being noisy. Squeeking almost constantly and making some TERRIBLE noises on occasion... Like when going down real steep stuff offroad when I have no choice but to "ride" the brakes.
About a month ago I took apart the rear drums, cleaned the heck out of them and inspected everything which made no difference, so I did the same to the front. Which also made no difference. Yesterday I took about the front calipers and re-lubed all of the contact surfaces after doing another deep cleaning. Again, no change.
I am 99% sure that the issue is in the front as the sound is much more prevalent up there.
Here's a video of the sound. If this hill were steeper and I could ride the brakes it would continue making that noise and reverberate much like a mountain bike disc brake. Any ideas on what I could try next? Since mods are currently funded by a sugar mama I am trying to do the cheap stuff first before just ordering some new 231's and replacing these 199s.
