Can anyone give me some quick pointers how to remove my factory tail lights? I just received the new JDM lights but I'm not exactly sure where to start. This is 2005 LTD 4Runner V8.... I know the back panels (left and right) are the access but there is also a 2 small panels that look like they open.. not sure how the open however. Any pointers would be appreicated....

figured it out...

I was dying to see what my new JDM tail lights looked like so I just finished installing them! They look great BTW.... Didn't get any replies to my post so I just finally got those little panels out, found where the lights were fastened and the rest is history. I might add that someone mentioned that the passenger side tail light didn't fit tight! Well they were right... However there is a very easy fix. The reason the left side doesn't sit flush is because there is a bump or protusion on the top hole where the light is held in. I suspect it was something to do with the stamping process. Anyway the factory tail light fit flush for some reason while the JDM didn't. I simply got a nice block of wood and tapped the bump down. I did have to hit it fairly hard, but I was very careful not to miss! Bottom line.... the JDM not fit exactly like my factory lights did.... I will post a picture of them tomorrow. It's a great looking simple mod... I bought them off of EBay for 155 bucks... beats the Toyota lights at around 270.00.... Hope this helps anyone wanting to install JDM lights...
