My 96 sits a tad lower in the rear than front, not to much but any recomendations? wouln like to stiffin it up a little.

Others have had good things to say about OME springs too. I went for the firestone air springs myself, also from performance products, and I like them. Less expensive and lets me adjust the rear height depending on loads.

Old Man Emus

an Old Man Emu 890 set of springs would give your rear end a slight bit of lift without being overly harsh riding.

891s would give you a bit more load carrying capacity with a still comfortable ride. I find mine to be firm but fine for on road driving.

Springs run about $70 each or $140 a pair roughly speaking.

I would advise against Bilstein shocks unless you consistently run a heavy duty bumper, sliders and/or winch.

there was a recall on 96-98s I believe on the rear springs but that was quite awhile back....


Not sure about the Bilstein shocks lifetime warranty, never had any actually fail.....they are just stiff-real stiff.

A lot of folks seem to feel the 3rd gens are already plenty stiff in the back end.

I noticed when I changed to Bilsteins the ride got even firmer in the rear particularly. When I added my ARB bumper-it seemed to soften the ride down quite a bit- I had the short 99 springs if that helps.....
