long but worth the read...


So today I went to the gym, like I do 5 days a week. Hung my keys on the top left of the key board as always.... had a great work out well come time to leave NO KEYS.. so I ask the people at the desk if anyone turned in my keys... thinking someone accidently picked them up... well they think I misplaced them.. which I am a 100% sure I didnt... so while im sitting there someone else comes up with the same problem NO KEYS... Some lil #$%@^*) had the bright idea to steal the keys and go in the cars... they broke in his car stealing his wallet and cd player and a few other things.. Luckily my battery in my remote was week and my truck was at the end of the lot so they didnt find it... im guessing by pressing the panic button... I got a ride home and could not find my spare keys.... As I was changing in my camo jumpsuit to go wait in the woods and Merc some stupid %#$^#$^ my mom calls and has my spare key... THANK GOD... but these &$#$%&* still have my keys..... to my house and truck... Now I gotta get everything rekeyed and get a new remote on a diff frequency... I am so PISSED does anyone know a ballpark figure how much this crap is gonna set me back???

Doesnt that just make your blood boil....

I dont know about changing locks, but a new key from the dealer is less than $10 and remotes are around $30 on ebay. A new remote will use a new frequency, so after programing it the old one should not work anymore.

I hate to say it but this happened at a gym I went to and I actually saw one of the employees using a rolled up towel to pop the latch on about 5 different lockers and go through the wallets. This guy was built like a brick shit house and I was afraid he'd kill me (I was in high school at the time) so I lost 5 bucks and quit the gym. I think I'd quit this one too. Someone should have been watching that rack. It sounds like an inside job to me. Oh and yeah change the locks for sure, if it's an inside job they have your address!

Haha man that sucks! Always keep your keys with you, don't leave them somewhere so they can be easily snatched.
 
Tell the Gym to start keeping the key safe (and a couple of Glocks) behind the desk. By the way, let me guess ...Southdowns Gym off Perkins Rd . (I use to make deleveries to the Gym )
 
this happened at the YMCA of all places... what is supposed to be a Christian gym... I dont think it was an inside job I know everyone there and they are all good honest people.. Basketball season has started so there are a bunch of people that arent members that go to watch the games.. I think someone just wondered into the gym and snatched them...

someone said up above if I get a new remote for the factory system the old one will no longer work is this true?
 
ooooooooooh, that sux. But you shouldn't have left the keys their in the first place. The world is not a good place to live in anymore. Just make a habit of keeping your keys with you at all times possible.

Sorry for the loss, but m worried about ur house keys. If he/she was a youngster, probably threw the other keys away, but you never know. Be safe and keep us updated.

Christian gym? Hey,it's not like all christians are good people just by association. That is just sad;my friend lost a brand new iPod at his gym.

not true man.. they are my keys.. im responsible for them.. they didnt make me put them there.. I put them there on my own.. They are however gonna give me a few free months to help offset the cost of a new remote and lock change out..
