Yeah! It's too bad you can't replace the beep with an applause or crowd cheering.
all of them do it! Unless you trick the system! Will do the same in 4wd
Are you saying that in addition to the beep there is some other mechanical process going on? Guess I better log onto the internet manual. As far as i am concerned the system is dangerous and should be shut off all the time. I can not tell you how many times I have pulled out of somewhere and it's a little slippery and now I can't go over 2 mph because traction control is on, just waiting to get clobbered by somebody. I will be doing the fix very shortly.
I don't know the answer to your question, but someone else here with the background may help if you say the model and year of your Runner.I've spun the back end out and haven't heard any beeps or seen any lights. Is this only on certain years? Or could there be an issue I need to look into?

I couldn't agree more. On a few past vehicles when the ABS malfunctioned, I left it, was happy to have it off.I definitely don't like when the vehicle thinks it knows better than I do, and starts automatically doing these "safety actions"

For the times this has happened, I got the beeper, but did not see any dash indicator for traction control.
