Silly Californians.....Lets see if crime stats change. Then again, we've done this before. If crime continues to decline, they'll take credit. If it gets worse, they'll blame neighboring states that still respect the 2A and call for federal enforcement. It's a win/ win.

^Exactly. Imagine growing up in this insane asylum. Having survived(barely) the drug/gang wars of the 80s and early 90s, I can tell u first hand, there were/are plenty of guns available. Not a one legal. All these laws do is make it harder for good ppl to protect themselves. The gangs in the area I grew up in are now all co-opted by the cartels. Basically they're a distribution mechanism for them. The firepower they possess is scary. The sheriffs truly are outgunned. Sad.

The more I read the more I disagree with the Dems on this one. It's sad that so many liberals believe in science except when it comes to the math behind gun fatalities. Mass shootings represent less .01% of gun homocides in America.

* Swimming pools are 100 times more likely to lead to the death of a child than a household with a gun.

I like how my friends on the 'left' get in an uproar when there is a shooting death...especially an accidental shooting of a child. It is tragic, no doubt.
They blame guns and claim that such accidents/deaths are preventable...I agree, but where is the uproar when a baby is left in a hot car, when young children are killed in car accidents because they don't have proper restraint or because someone was texting, or a toddler is poisoned because he/she got into the kitchen cabinet...

Do these rules apply to off-duty cops? They should. No citizen is better than any other, IMO. The rules should apply to everyone.
