Sound Loss / JBL Synthesis

2003 Sport V8 with JBL Synthesis coupled to KENWOOD head unit. Everything was working fine then all of a sudden I only get sound out of the driver’s side tweeter and sub. I checked all the config settings. Since I’m still getting sound out of 2 speakers I think it’s mostly likely the factory amp? I already checked the amp connectors. eBay replacement on the way but thought I’d get some opinions. Thanks.

with some black friday and cyber monday deals, I would start fresh, run new wires to the doors unless your good with the wiring diagrams, and new amp. maybe your speakers are bad since they are close to 20 years old.

its a big project, but maybe its time for an upgrade, treat yourself to something nice.

I did all that with my 2004 many years ago. That is not an option at this time for this 2003.

So the replacement amp is doing the exact same thing. Probably need to pull the head unit and check connections next.

maybe its the interface harness you are using.

they make metra and pac and also idatalink.

before you drop money on that, I would take the speakers out and test them.

Maybe you have a short on one of the speakers or wires bringing down a whole side? Just a thought as I'm unsure how these are setup now but in the old days each side kinda worked together.

This was it. It’s a PAC RP4.2-TY11. We ran the reset process in its manual and all 10 speakers are working now.

nice, you got it working. I wonder if you can benefit if you switched to idatalink branded one.
