Yes actually. We were playing with this last week and came up with a pretty simple solution I think. We measured the precise diameter of the plastic holder and counter sunk the hole just slightly larger so the plastic hooks can set. Then you just slide the actual sensor in from the back and it holds everything tight through compression. This was in bare metal, so we'll make the hole just a bit larger .006" to compensate for the average thickness of powder/paint.

I am 8th on the SSO rear bumper list, so mine will be arriving in the not-too-distant future. :whoo:
Curious to know, if due to the weight of this beautiful SSO rear bumper (~265lbs with dual swing arms + ladder) are you or did you change rear coil springs? If so, what did you go with?
I currently have SAW 1.5", but concerned that they will experience some notable sag with 265lbs of steel added.
My research is leading me toward OME 2895e or 2895.

Wasnt a drill bit, but a laser that cut it to the thousandth of an inch. The three holes in that plate are just barely different sizes to test for the perfect fit.
51/64 bit is too small, 13/16 a little too big, but thats all you can really do when you dont have a laser to get it just perfect. Id start with a 51/64 and woller (sp?) it out as you need. You'll also need to counter sink it a bit on the back side so the plastic hooks can set. Thats in 3/16 though, 1/8" plate will be a whole new story.

We ordered our's last week... settling in for the wait as best as we can.
Specs: Dual swing outs. Passenger side with spare tire, hi-jack mount, and camera relocate. Driver side with ladder and swing away rotopax mount.
Color: Powder coated silver to match our front slim line.
Special requests: 7 Pin socket relocation to bumper face to move it out of harms way. We've almost crushed the Turtleback's cable a few times... the metal rear bumper will be much less forgiving against rocks.
Also, I'd like to mount a quad band antenna for my future FT-8900 mobile unit somewhere on the assembly but haven't got to talk to Kevin in detail yet on these special items.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's bumper installs!
