Spacer ?

I read here not to long ago about someone saying about a top load spacer (like a CF ) compared to a bottom load spacer and that the bottom spacers were better for ride , especially in the rear.

Is there such a thing as a spacer that goes on the bottom instead of the top ?

The small spacer you're considering installing (1/2") will not affect ride quality at all. You'll never even notice it's there! Trust me!

Most 3" front spacer kits are 2 pieces.

The lower bottom spacer is called a pre-load spacer. This goes between the spring and top plate.
The top spacer goes above your top plate and pushes the entire strut assembly down away from the shock tower.


I've heard that pre-load spacers affect ride more than topout spacers, while a topout spacer will limit wheel travel more.
There is no different setup in the rear as far as I know.

Thats kind of what I was asking , I heard about spacers on the bottom , but really have a hard time understanding the preload thing .

you're getting confused as for the rear there is only one spacer application which gets installed on top of the coil. No physical way to install a spacer on the bottom.

I have the level kit from Cornfed. The fact is I have no reservations about the install at all . In all honestly I just don't have the time to mess with it . The wonderful Govt. has had me flying all over hell , my other job is going to get really busy as of monday , I really wanted this in by winter , not to mention the drumming factor which also haas taken me all over hell and back and can't even fit all of my kit in my 4R unless I put together a jigsaw puzzle and even then....... it's difficult.

I was really trying to understand the preload stuff as what comes with the Daystar lit , but the only way I'll understand it I guess is by seeing one and comparing it to the CF.
