Spacers....

Does anyone on this board know how to construct the front speaker spacers?
I'd be willing to pay for them....

just cut out mdf boards and screw them together. you might also want to add carpenters glue between them before you screw them together for more strength.

Call me a sissy, but I have absolutely no tools of that sort to construct, cut and sand the wood.
Anyone wanna make a pair and sell them to me?

Buy yourself a dremel they run about $40-60, and then just cut the old speaker out of the harness. Once you cut them out just find a small thin board to fill in the gap (assuming you are replacing them with 6.5 speakers), and seal the board with silicon. If you are going to use 6x9, then the speaker should fit over the spacer and screw it down. The dremel is a wonderful tool for these small projects.

I KNOW they manufacture the propper spacer that you need...some were installed on mine when I had the stereo replaced.

Are you planning on installing 6 1/2" front speakers? If you are, I bought these online (speaker adapters ) and they work great. I had to slightly modify the holes so they would line up with the factory screw holes, but it wasn't hard at all. I just removed the factory 6x9 speakers and installed that adapter along with my 6 1/2" speaker.

I watched the installer put my Polk Audio speakers in and all he did was cut out the stock speaker from the plastic spacer/mounting plate and installed the Polk Audio 6x9 speaker right back in the same spacer. He then ran long sheet metal screws at an angle and into the inner door sheet metal. I thought it was a good idea and it seemed to work well.
